On-site caricature drawing service.

Event: XL Anniversary Cocktail Party.
Date of event: 15 Jan 2009 Thursday.
Venue: Asian Civilisations Museum, Singapore.
Duration: 3 hours (6.30pm to 9.30pm).
Average drawing speed: 6 minutes per head.

As this event required 3 artists, Jit, Kamal & myself were there to capture most of the guests that evening. Jit sought the service of both of us to team up with him for this cocktail party. Kamal & I drew our usual way but Jit got the toughest job which required him to caricature the atmosphere during the party on an A0 size paper. Hats off to him for doing such a good job even when he was under pressure to complete it in 3 hours. He was in full concentration & didn't have time to talk to us during the process. My friend, Henry, was there too to give a helping hand to us. It was a success & we got a treat of delicious food after that.

I reached there at 5.30pm & got some time to take some pictures of the surronding.

The statue of Sir Stamford Raffles was taken from 2 angles. I like the one on the left b'cos it's more dramatic. It captured the silhouette of the founder of Sg.

A bum boat carrying tourists that went pass me.

The building of ACM as seen from the river.

The staircase leading up to the function hall.

The event signage.

When I entered, this beautiful design of the function hall captured my attention. Wasting no time, I managed to snap a few shots before the guests arrived.

The session begins...

Me & Kamal(in the background) were entertaining the guests.

Jit in full concentration performing his masterpiece.

The atmosphere during the party.

Job completed succesfully. Time to take a group photo for memory's sake, cheers :)
