On-site caricature drawing service.

Event: Cold Storage Kids Run 2010.
Date of event: 23 May 2010 (Sunday).
Venue: Promenade, Singapore.
Duration: 9.00am to 12.00pm (3 hours).
Average drawing speed: 6 minutes per head.

Another very rare Sunday morning event which my caricaturist friend Jit sought my service to form a 3-artist team to draw for the participants at this Run. it was held at the F1 pit just beside the flyer. In this event, the kids were required to produce a Cold Storage receipt of any amount they spent at the store during the event in order to get a caricature drawn free of charge by any of us. The response was good enough to keep us busy for the entire 3 hours. That was no easy job as the whether was very hot especially at the last hour. We were lucky to be seated in a row under the tentage but those poor kids were so unfortunate that they had to stand under the sun to be drawn.
The last time I did such event was many years ago, can't remember exactly when was it. What I can recall is that it was held in Tuas (2nd Link) & it made me woke up at 4am in order to drive there. Tough job man...

On arrival at the entrance of the F1 pit.

The venue was also near Singapore's latest icon Marina Bay Sands Casino.

The following are some of the caricatures drawn by me. I've selected 5 for your viewing.

A treat of balloons for the kids.

Live caricature event at Bottle Tree Park, Singapore.

Event: Children birthday party.
Date of event: 2 May 2010 (Sunday).
Venue: Bottle Tree Park, Singapore.
Duration: 6.30pm to 8.30pm (2 hours).
Average drawing speed: 6 minutes per head.

The birthday girl's mother called & booked my service for a party at the Lake House one week before the event. Initially, she booked for an hour & decided to extend it for another due to overwhelming response. All the kids drawn were well behaved & quite cooperative except for one who was still a toddle that needed to be carried by his father. All in, I drew around 24 of them.
After the event, I was treated with a delicious buffet dinner & went home happily.

The Lake House where the party was held.

Upon arrival, a wooden bridge with some balloons led me to the venue.

As I approached, I knew that this was definitely the right place by seeing the party deco.

The caricature session began with the birthday girl Priyanka being drawn first.

Followed by all her friends but I've selected only a few to be shown here in this post.

The birthday girl being drawn.

After the caricature drawing was done, the cake cutting session was being held on the stage.

Formula Drift 2010.

Formula Drift 2010 was held in Singapore on 25th April 2010 at the open space next to the Flyer. I was invited by my friend to set up a caricature counter for free at their official mechandise tentage on a Sunday late morning till 3pm.
Unfortunately, business was not good but I had a great time hanging around the premises to catch the action of the racing performance for free while others had to pay for tickets. The races or rather stunt were performed by drivers from the Asia Pacific region. Lots of beatiful girls to see too. In this post, I show you guys some pictures of the activities during the event.

A bird's eye view of the venue.

The official mechandise tentage where I was stationed.

One of the customers who had his caricature drawn by me.

Even the driver of one of the racing cars did too.

Me working on the drivers.

There was a video Formula-1 racing game for $2 per round. It's very interesting because it's the Singapore's night race circuit.

Here's the action of one of the perfomances.

The cars slowing down when the race was over for these 2 drivers.

It's autograph signing session by all the drivers.

I wish that I was the driver who had so many beautiful girls surrounding him like a celeb.

A pic of me posing with a driver.
