Caricatures For Malay TV Comedy Drama.

Singapore Malay TV Channel 'Suria' recently commissioned me to do 10 caricatures for their current season's comedy series '2 x 5 Dol' which runs on every Wednesday at 9.30pm. My caricatures were animated by their artists & used at the beginning of every episode. Upon ordering, the client sent me via email all the photos of the characters as well as the requirements which I've attached on every caricature displayed below.
Apart from this, Mediacorp will be using my portrait sketches of actress Ivy Lee for their up & coming Channel-8 Mandarin drama series 'Love Blossom 2' which will start showing on 2.12 2008 & my drawings will appear in the 49th & 55th episodes.
I feel honoured that my works are constantly being shown on Singapore's TV programmes. Hopefully,one day my works will be shown in movies too ;-).

Hairi & Jun, the main characters.

Hairi- Can you draw him deep in some thought? His character in this season is a father-to-be and hence he is shouldering more responsibilities which requires him to think before he takes any action.

Jun-You can draw her pregnant but still looking pretty. Maybe she has her hands rubbing her tummy. Can you also exaggerate the size of her tummy?

Alia-Her character is in love with a new guy. Maybe you can draw her looking smitten and in cloud nine.

Zahim-You can draw him dressed smartly wearing a tie and looking proud as he recently got a new job as a manager. Can you draw him wearing a black name tag with the word "PENGURUS" in it on top of his shirt's left pocket?

Ita-She is the tai-tai sort of person. Very classy. Maybe you can draw her with lots of shopping

bags. Need a favour from you. Can you draw the shopping bags separately from her hands but making it look as though she's holding those paper bags? This is so that my editor can animate the paper bags to make it move in her hands.

Pak Harun-He is the leader in the family. You can draw him with a serious look on his face now that there are more problems in the family and everyone is taking it lightly.

Mak Leha-She is the naggy mother but in this season, she is happy as she has a granddaughter and a new son-in-law-to-be. Maybe you can draw her smiling and carrying a baby. Once again, will it be possible if you draw the baby separately from her hands but she looks as though she is cradling the baby?

Nek Su-She is the happy go lucky grandmother who loves to watch wrestling. You can just draw her looking very happy and smiley.

Mak Jamilah-She is Hairi's mother who thinks a lot for her child and often gives him advice.

The client was a fan of the star who was visiting Singapore some time ago. She did this caricature so that it could be given to him as a souvenir during his short stay here.Holding a pacifier & wearing the diaper were her special request.The reason for doing so was unknown.

A group of fans ordered this caricature to congratulate Fann on her best selling album in 2005. This 'pastel-pencil' medium is only on special request as I do not have it among my choice of mediums used for caricatures on my website.
While watching news on T.V.,I was very surprised to see my caricature being shown during the event at which Fann was holding it & smiling in front of the screen.

Another digitally coloured caricature done by me a few years ago.This was an experiment as I was not familiar with digital colouring then.I think it was quite a success. The outline was drawn manually before being scanned onto Photoshop & rendered using airbrush.
