A gig for Cocoa Tree at Jurong point on Valentine's day. I was required to sit at a counter in front to do complimentary caricature for their customers who had bought something from the shop. Most of the customers I did were middle aged couples although there were some singles. The 2-hour session went smoothly as usual & all the customers got their caricatures happily.

Once again, my caricaturist friend, Jit, sought my service to work with him for this 3-hour gig. This was the first time we did a gig for a product launch event at this iconic structure of Singapore. As usual, the session went smoothly & the guests were entertained by our talent of capturing them on paper.

Sony Road Show at Wisma Atria Orchard.

Event: Sony Road Show.

Date of event: 7 Dec 2012 (Friday).

Venue: Wisma Atria, Orchard Road, Singapore.

Duration: 5.00pm to 7.00pm (2 hours).

Another road show of Sony using Vaio Duo 11 to draw caricatures for members of the public. This gig was arranged in such that I replaced my friend Jit for 2 hours. Jit was supposed to do the entire gig for 7 hours but he got something on in the middle so he got me to help him.
When I took over, I tried to follow what Jit did by putting shading on every caricatures but I was too slow as I was not familiar doing it digitally. After a few pieces, I finally shift back to outline darwing so that more people could be drawn.
 It was another good experience drawing caricature using a tablet which was provided by Sony. For such gig, no tool was needed, just be there on time.

Sony Road Show Mid-point Orchard.

Event: Sony Road Show.

Date of event: 17&24 Nov, 1&8 Dec  2012 (Saturday).

Venue: Courts @ Mid-point, Orchard Road, Singapore.

Duration: 3.00pm to 6.00pm (3 hours per day).
Average drawing speed: 8 minutes per head.

I was engaged to do a Sony Road Show for 4 Saturdays in a row with my caricaturist friend Jit & 2 others. All of us were stationed in 4 different Courts venues at the same time around Singapore. Mine was at Mid-point Orchard. This road shows required us to draw caricature using Sony's new tablet VAIO Duo 11 & printed out using a printer before given away to the public. As I was not familiar with digital drawing, it took me quite awhile  to get use to it. I struggled on the first day but gradually improved along the way. I had manage to put some shading on the drawings during the last day but it took me quite some time to finish one piece. There was a screen behind me that showed the progress of the drawing live, similar to the Samsung Road Show which I did using the the Galaxy Note Studio before that. It was a good experience but I still prefer to draw caricature manually though.

Event: Asia One- Red Carpet Party.

Date of event: 13 Dec 2012 (Thursday).

Venue: St. James Power Station, Singapore.

Duration: 6.30pm to 9.30pm (3 hours).
Average drawing speed: 8 minutes per head.

Due to heavy year-end commitments, my caricaturist friend Jit sought my service to do this gig on his behalf. My job was to draw the guests faces complete with cartoon bodies on the pre-drawn paper with some background & logo provided by the client. The average time taken to draw a person was 8 minutes instead of my usaul 6 minutes simply because I'd to draw a cartoon body for every one.
The atmosphere was electrifying as the music was loud & full of activities. Apart from the stage shows & performances, I was the only fringe artist to entertain the guests for 3 solid hours. One difficulty of this gig was that lighting was insufficient, too deem for me to do a good job as the event suppose to be in a party mood. No mather how, the job had to go on & there was full of laughter & fun throughout the event.
