I was engaged to do a birthday event at the old folks home in Bedok. This was the first time I did such an event in Singapore. As these elderly people were not mobile, roaming method was the only option for me to entertain them. My session started with drawing the 3 birthday folks before continuing with others randomly. Some of them didn't even know what was happening when I seated in front of them drawing their faces. Luckily most of them were well behaved & didn't move about. It was a different experience from other gigs all together.

Event: House warming Party .

Venue: Kiehl's Store @ Plaza Singapura, Singapore.

Duration: 7.00pm to 9.00pm (2 hours).

I was engaged by Kiehl's Store to do a gig for the opening of their new outlet at Plaza Singapura. The guests invited for the special party were young bloggers. Instead of feeling out of place , I felt 30 years younger the moment I stepped into the shop as all the staff & guests were either in their 20's or teenagers. All of them were so fashionable that it made me felt like I need to update my sense of fashion, hehe. In this event, I was required to draw the caricature onto the guests' booklets  provided by the client so that the guests could bring home & keep them as a special door gift .

Sketch of Singapore Satay Club in Sembawang.

I was engaged by the owner of Singapore Satay Club to sketch the atmosphere of the open-air restaurant live on the the last day of their operation before moving out. It was meant to be an art piece for memory sake. A small table was given to me to work quietly in a corner while patrons were busy eating & enjoying their satay for the last time at the Sembawang outlet.  The challenge of this job was that it was done at night & the massive movement of the people that constantly distracted me. It took me a few hours to capture almost everything that was there in front of me. It was a tough job indeed but a good experience.

Nurse Day Caricature Event.

Event: Nurse Day Celebration.

Date of event: 31 July 2012 (Tuesday).

Venue: Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, Yishun, Singapore.

Duration: 2.30pm to 4.30pm (2 hours).
Average drawing speed: 6 minutes per head.

The nurse day at KTP hospital required 3 caricaturists to cater for more nurses who wanted their faces drawn. My caricaturist friend Jit ask me & Kamal to team up with him for this event. It was held at a special room that has a full height clear glass wall on the 1st floor. All 3 of us have our own individual table to set up our work stations. As usual, the session went on smoothly with everybody happy to get a caricature to bring home.
