My caricaturist friend Jit sought my service to team up with him for this event which was attended by mostly local doctors for a product launch by GSK. It was a normal 1-hour job that had about 12 persons drawn.

This guy seemed to be the CEO of Jet Airway, I guess. Probably retiring then & the company did this caricature for his farewell.

Event: Kung Fu Panda Road Show.
Date of event: 23 Nov 2009 to 30 Nov 2009.
Venue: Plaza Singapura, Singapore.
Duration: 1 hour per day (3.00pm to 4.00pm).
Average drawing speed: 5 minutes per head.
Theme: Kung Fu.

I was hired by HBO to do a roadshow for their promotion of the Kung Fu Panda movie on TV. The service lasted one week & I had to do a session per day except the 3rd day which I had to do 2 sessions at different time. Most of the guests were kids but some adults were being drawn too. They required me to produce 2 pre-drawn cartoon bodies for the kids' choice, a board kicking & a karate design were printed on their paper. My job was to draw the person's head on the chosen body during the session.
Four days after the roadshow, they hired me again for a 3-hour session to draw their staff during the family day at the HBO's New Tech Park headquater at Lorong Chuan using the same pre-drawn paper. It was a successful event & the kids really enjoyed it.

Event: Faber-Castell shop's grand opening ceremony at Ion Orchard.
Date of event: 6 Nov 2009 Friday.
Venue: Ion Orchard, Singapore.
Duration: 3 hours (4.00pm to 8.00pm).
Average drawing speed: 6 minutes per head.
Theme: Arts related.

This event required 3 caricaturists to entertain the public during the grand opening of Faber-Castell's new shop in the newly opened Ion shopping mall in Orchard Road. I only managed to find them one caricatist, William, to draw alongside me. The other caricaturist, Einstien who did the roving part was hired separately by the client.
I heard from my photography buddy, William Cho, who was the official photographer for this event that the owners, Dukes from Germany were there too but I was too busy to notice them. As for the famous Einstien, this was the first time I met him personally although I've seen him on TV many times.

On arrival, the stage was well prepared & ready for the occasion.

A birthday gift from a father to his grown up daughter. I supposed this Indian actress is her favorite star. The father, Dilip, likes my watercolour portraits & had done quite a number previously. He told me that his daughter was studying abroad & would like to send this special gift to bighten her up.
Upon collecting this artwork, he told me that I got the resemblance of the actress spot on.

Due to budget constraint, the client decided to do a caricature with only the main person in colour & the rest in black & white outline style. They wanted a golf theme so this was what I could do.

Event: The wedding of Dick & Mei.
Date of event: 10 Oct 2009 Saturday.
Venue: Amara Century, Sentosa, Singapore.
Duration: 3 hours (4.30pm to 7.30pm).
Average drawing speed: 6 minutes per head.

The wedding was held in a romantic setting for my client in Sentosa Island Resort. The solemnation was done there too with the presence of their friends & family members some of whom were from Europe.
After the session, I was invited to join them for dinner but unfortunately I'd got something on that evening.
As for this event, the couple provided me with their own papers in A4 & A3 size that had their wedding date printed at the corner. As for the couples, I used the A3 paper to draw on.
