Mark Lee & Co.

Celebrities are often sighted at Far East Plaza. This time round, Mark Lee, the famous local comedian was here recently.Together with actresses Kym & Lina Ng, they were shooting a T.V. programme Super Tots at the atrium.I took some shots of them during the session which lasted the whole afternoon.

Mark was having fun with a toddler.

On-site live caricature drawing event.

Event: Great Eastern Dinner & Dance.
Date of event: 4 Oct 2008 Saturday.
Venue: Shangrila Hotel,Singapore.
Duration: 1 hour (5.30pm to 6.30pm).
Average drawing speed: 4 minutes per head.

I was engaged by a local caricaturist Peter Draw, who had recently broke the Guiness Book of records for the biggest caricature in the world.Apart from that,he also did a publicity stunt last December by drawing caricatures for 24 hours non stop for a charity cause. As this corporate event required 3 caricaturists to cater for a big crowd, Peter sought the services of one of the best caricaturists in Singapore, Jit & myself to flank him. He said this was a special event for him to have invited both of us,the masters,to draw alongside him. He is such a big star to have a very big personal backdrop being made by the client specially for this particular event.

On-site live caricature drawing event.

Event: GE Healthcare,M1 Symposium Dinner.
Date of event: 3 Oct 2008 Friday.
Venue: Equinox,Raffles City Tower,Singapore.
Duration: 3 hours (6.45pm to 9.45pm).
Average drawing speed: 6 minutes per head.

This event was held on the 69th floor of the tower.I took the MRT from Orchard to City Hall station as the venue was just on top of it.I was being engaged by my caricaturist friend Jit,to partner him as the client required 2 artists to work at the same time so that every guest would get an artwork for remembrance in their short stay here in Singapore. My friend Henry was there too to assist us.The session was not stressful at all so I decided to spend more time on the drawings in order to give them better quality works.

Live caricature event.

Event: Lenovo F1 Event.
Date of event: 28 Sept 2008 Sunday.
Venue: National Library,Singapore.
Duration: 2.5 hours (2.30pm to 5.00pm).
Average drawing speed: 6 minutes per head.
Theme: Formula 1.

It's Formula 1 race day in Singapore. The client preferred a quality service instead of my usual speedy ones, so I spend about 6 minutes per face drawn.Everyone should be caricatured according to the theme which had a cap & jump suit shown.According to the MC,the word 'Williams' should be written on their caps. The venue was at the 16th. floor of the building & overlooking the skyline but the race circuit was a distance away so there's no way Henry & I could watch the race. Afterall, the race started at 7.30pm & we could only managed to listen to the loud sound of the cars during the race at ground zero, too bad...
