A group of Singapore army boys did this caricature of themselves to be given to their superior as a farewell gift. Due to budget constraint, they did an outline piece.

Venue: Orchard Scotts Dental, Wheelock Place, Singapore.

Duration: 10.30am to 12.00am (1.5 hours).
Average drawing speed: 6 minutes per head.

This event required 2 caricaturists to cater for all the finalists of Miss Universe Singapore. They were there for some dental check so that they look good during the final , I guess. Our job was to entertain them by drawing their caricatures. My caricaturist friend Jit Leong sought my service to do this gig together. The interesting part of this job was that we could see every one of the beauty up close & even chat with them.

The French client hired me to draw caricature at her son's birthday party at a private house at Jalan Tupai which is within walking distance from my shop in Far East Plaza. I was seated outdoor instead of the usual indoor. The atmosphere was quiet & quite cozy as the teenagers were very well behaved. The 2 hour session was just enough for me to finish all the people present including the parents of the birthday boy.

This portrait was done using 2 separate black & white passport photos of the subjects provided by the client. The difficult part of this piece was the imagination of the skin colour tone.
Portraits done from passport photographs are usually look stern without smile but no choice as the subjects may be deceased I guess.

Once again my caricaturist friend Jit sought my service to partner him for this family-day morning event that required 2 artists. There were lots of kids queuing for their caricatures to be drawn by us. Jit & I were seated side by side separately with 2 lines formed immediately when we set up our counters. As usual, the session went on smoothly with some lucky guests happy to get their caricatures done.

I was engaged to do a gig for Halia's 4th birthday. The invited guests were mostly expatriates who brought their kids for this afternoon party on Sunday. The session began with the birthday girl, Halia, who started the ball rolling. Well behaved children seated in front of me one after another to be caricatured. Smaller ones were carried by their parents so that they don't sit too low for me to capture their features.
