The client who is the mother of the subject requested a caricature that showed her son in the Ninja Turtle's body. Her reason of doing this caricature was probably to cheer up her son with his favorite hero.

The client, Ash & Kate, were expats who used to live & work here in Singapore. All together, they did 3 caricatures as their wedding series. The 1st one has a background of Raffles Hotel where they got married in Singapore. The 2nd piece was the 'Order Of Service' with the background of a church & the 3rd piece showed their honeymoon in Italy. All 3 pieces were done separately over a period of 3 months.

Event: 1st birthday party for little Reese.
Date of event: 11 Sept 2011 (Sunday).
Venue: Singtel Recreation Club, Comcentre Basement 2, Singapore.
Duration: 3.30pm to 7.00pm (3.5 hours).
Average drawing speed: 6 minutes per head.

I was hired by Aris, the father of little Reese for 2 hours initially to celebrate his daughter's 1st birthday. At the end of the session, my service was extended for another 1.5 hours due to popular demand, I guess. The guests were all filipino friends of Aris & wife. Aris prepared the papers with a nice design for me to draw on. Apart from caricaturist, there was a balloon twister who entertained the guests throughout the party.

During the event, I felt very relax as the dress code was casual & it was held on a Sunday late noon. The happy mood as well as the lighting condition made me performed better than some of my previous events. I was also being treated to a buffet dinner during the session.

Event: 1st birthday party for little Eamon.

Venue: The Tanglin Club, Singapore.
Duration: 3.30pm to 5.30pm (2 hours).

I did a 2-hour job for Eamon's 1st birthday party that was attended by relatives & friends of his parents. It was held at the Wheelhouse function room next to the swimming pool of Tanglin Club. So far, most of my Sunday events are birthday parties of children. There were 2 such events in Sept. The second one which was held the following week will be posted soon.

The female client wanted a caricature to remember the first kiss with her boyfriend. The background was actually an HDB compound where they had that 1st kiss. It's a rare request to have it drawn this way as both their faces were not facing front but side. I was a bit worried that she would complaint about the resemblance level which could lead to argument like what I had experienced before. Since that bad experience which happened a few years back, I don't like to draw caricatures of my costomers with side profiles in order to avoid argument later on.
Upon collection of this caricature, I was glad to see from her face that she was happy with my work. Well, she's just another happy customer who walked out of my shop.
