On-site caricature drawing service.
Event: Faber-Castell shop's grand opening ceremony at Ion Orchard.
Date of event: 6 Nov 2009 Friday.
Venue: Ion Orchard, Singapore.
Duration: 3 hours (4.00pm to 8.00pm).
Average drawing speed: 6 minutes per head.
Theme: Arts related.
This event required 3 caricaturists to entertain the public during the grand opening of Faber-Castell's new shop in the newly opened Ion shopping mall in Orchard Road. I only managed to find them one caricatist, William, to draw alongside me. The other caricaturist, Einstien who did the roving part was hired separately by the client.
I heard from my photography buddy, William Cho, who was the official photographer for this event that the owners, Dukes from Germany were there too but I was too busy to notice them. As for the famous Einstien, this was the first time I met him personally although I've seen him on TV many times.
On arrival, the stage was well prepared & ready for the occasion.
The arrival of VIPs & guests at the venue.
The session starts...
Something extra here, our drawings were scanned & being displayed on the walls beside the stage.
William (foreground) & myself were busy drawing.
Me posing for a memory shot with the famous Einstein. Photographed by William Cho.

A birthday gift from a father to his grown up daughter. I supposed this Indian actress is her favorite star. The father, Dilip, likes my watercolour portraits & had done quite a number previously. Upon collecting this artwork, he told me that I got the resemblance of the actress spot on.

Group caricature done from photographs.
A3 size caricature of Harem Co.
Medium used: Colour-pencil on white paper.
Type: Face with cartoon body.
Client's Purpose: Corporate gift.
Due to budget constraint, the client decided to do a caricature with only the main person in colour & the rest in black & white outline style. They wanted a golf theme so this was what I could do.

On-site caricature drawing service.
Event: The wedding of Dick & Mei.
Date of event: 10 Oct 2009 Saturday.
Venue: Amara Century, Sentosa, Singapore.
Duration: 3 hours (4.30pm to 7.30pm).
Average drawing speed: 6 minutes per head.
The wedding was held in a romantic setting for my client in Sentosa Island Resort. The solemnation was done there too with the presence of their friends & family members some of whom were from Europe.
After the session, I was invited to join them for dinner but unfortunately I'd got something on that evening.
As for this event, the couple provided me with their own papers in A4 & A3 size that had their wedding date printed at the corner. As for the couples, I used the A3 paper to draw on.
On arrival at the Hotel's mani entrance.
Going up the stair that leads to the venue.
The venue was at the gazebo.
The arrival of the bride & bridegroom.
The ring exchanging moment.
Cheers from family members.
Showtime begins...

Individual caricature done from photograph.
A4 size caricature of a German soldier.
Medium used: Color-marker on white paper.
Type: Face with cartoon body.
Client's purpose: Birthday gift.
As far as I understood, the subject is a German but I wonder why the client wanted me to draw the Australian flag as well. Well, there must be a reason...

On-site caricature drawing service.
Event: BMC Software- Family Day 2009.
Date of event: 12 Sept. 2009 Saturday.
Venue: Botanic Garden ,Singapore.
Duration: 3 hours (2.30pm to 3.30pm).
Average drawing speed: 5 minutes per head.
My caricaturist friend Kamal sought my service to do an event in a team of 3 together with William. It was held in the premises of the Botany Centre in Botanic Garden. All three of us were seated in a row to entertain those guests who present us with a number slit. It was quite a well organised event with all the guests well behaved. In fact, it was great to catch up with both of them whom I've not been seeing for quite sometime. After the one hour show, we had so much to talk about.
The main entrance as seen from the main road.
The reception hall which we waited for each other.
Showtime begins...
