Individual portrait done from photograph.

A4 size portrait of a young lady.
Medium used: Watercolour on white paper.
Client's purpose: Birthday present.

My regular client Dilip loves my watercolour painted portraits so much that he did 5 pieces of himself on the first time he engaged my service.
The subject of this portrait is his daughter who was studying abroad then. I would say he's very demanding in terms of quality. Whenever he comes, I would feel very pressurized to produce what he thinks is good enough to his expectation. Thank god, he is happy with all my works so far & I will continue to give him the best of me as long as I'm still able to draw...

Individual portrait done from photograph.

A3 size portrait of a high ranking military officer.
Medium used: Charcoal on white paper.
Client's purpose: A gift from Mindef.

The client wanted this portrait of the subject in civilian outfit instead of wearing his uniform. I was not sure of the actual purpose of them doing it. I just did what I was instructed, no question asked. All I knew was the subject was a VIP (3 crabs) in Mindef. To-date, I've done many VIP portraits & caricatures & continue to do so whenever my service is needed. Most importantly, the price must be agreeable ;)

Photography- Miss Singapore World Finalists 2009.

I was being told by my new photography friend Ace 2 Saturdays ago that this event was held in East Point, Simei on the next day, Sun. It was a preview or something. The show started at 5pm & when I reached there 15min earlier, the stage was already surrounded by photographers with their powerful cameras & lenses. I used my 100mm Telemacro f2.8 lens to shoot the whole show without flash. Here are some of the finalists whom I took with my DSLR Sony Alpha 700.

If you would like to see more of my photographs, feel free to visit my Flickr Photostream by clicking the pink title above.

Individual caricature.

A4 size caricature done from photograph.
Medium used: Color-marker on white paper.
Type: Face with cartoon body & background.
Client's purpose: Appreciation/corporate gift.

The subject is a cricket enthusiast who loves wine. He was from India, that's the reason why the client requested for a Taj Mahal background. The photo given to me was taken from a distance in a group. It was quite blur when I examined it with my magnifying glass & told the client that it might not look like the subject as a result. Surprisingly, upon collection, the client told me that I did a great job in getting the resemblance spot on, phew...To me, it was pure luck.

On-site caricature drawing service.

Event: Josephine's 30th. Birthday Party.
Date of event: 20 June 2009 Saturday.
Venue: One degree 15, Marina Club, Sentosa Cove,Singapore.
Theme: Pink.
Duration: 3 hours (8.45pm to 11.45pm).
Average drawing speed: 6 minutes per head.

The birthday girl,Josephine, celebrated her birthday in a cool way. She wanted a pink theme where everybody supposed to wear pink. Unfortunately,I didn't have a pink shirt, instead I wore a white T-shirt that has some pink & red colour on it but my friend who assisted me managed to find a pink shirt for himself.
The session started at 8.45pm which was an unusual timing for me. By the time the session ended, it was already pass midnight. Henry & I headed straight to the Roti Prata stall at Neil Road for our supper before parting way. Another job done.

The venue was on the 2nd floor.

Caricatures done from photograph.

A2 size caricature of navy officers.
Medium used: Color-marker on white paper.
Type: Face with cartoon body & background.
Client's purpose: Appreciation gift.

Singapore navy had done 5 such caricature so far to be presented to their superior as a gift of appreciation. These were the first 2 pieces which they ordered. As the results were good, they did 3 more which I'm yet to upload. Apart from the caricatures, they ordered frames as well in order to be more presentable simply b'cos these oficers are of the highest ranking. They required me to caricature them with the ships they were in charge as well as their interests & hobbies.
