Caricature done from photographs.

A3 size caricature of a couple done from photographs.
Medium used: Colour-pencil on white paper.
Type: Face with cartoon body & backgroung.
Client's purpose: For remembrance.

This couple requested that their caricature got to be a memorable one that depicted their idols. The husband wanted to be drawn wearing the Arsenal FC's jersey & hairstyle that looked like Thierry Henry, while the wife wanted herself with the body of her favorite cartoon character & cheering him on. What a husband & wife team...

On-site caricature drawing service.

Event: Daniella's 1st Birthday Party.
Date of event: 4 Apr 2009 Saturday.
Venue: Shangrila Hotel,Singapore.
Duration: 2 hours (1.00pm to 3.00pm).
Average drawing speed: 6 minutes per head.

Another rare last minute Saturday afternoon event held at the multi-purpose hall 'Water Terrace' next to the pool. Although this was a kids party, it was attended by their parents too. A family party to be exact. Most of the people being drawn were the parents themshelves, to my surprise. As there was enough time, I spend my own sweet time enjoying the session.

The entertainer Johnathan Heron was performing for the kids.

The client, an army MP, wanted a caricature that depicts both their professions as a surprise gift for his nurse girlfriend. He provided me images of their uniforms in order to add more fun to the caricature.

Caricature done from photograph.

A4 size caricature depicts a Red Indian.
Medium used: Color-pencil on white paper.
Type: Face with head-dress.
Client's purpose: Birthday gift.

This caricature was more conplicated than my usual 'face only' type.
Meaning, the price was higher than usual. It was made as a birthday gift from the subject's friend.

Couple caricature done from photographs.

A4 caricature of a couple.
Medium used: Color-pencil on white paper.
Type: Face with cartoon body.
Client's purpose: Anniversary gift.

The client was the daughter of the subjects who wanted a caricature done as an anniversary gift for her parents. She requested to have them being drawn as their favorite TV Chinese drama's ancient heros 'Kuku & Yeong Kor'. The funny part was that her parents have English names...:))

Photography- Fashion Show.

As my photography skill progresses further, I made quite a few friends from Yahoo's Flickr who invited me to join them for a shooting of a fahion show at Marina Square recently. The event was called 'Fashion Revolution'. This was a new experience for me as I've not tried this before. However, I used my instinct of a portrait artist & managed to snap some for the fun of it. Surprisingly, some of my Flickr friends said that my shots were outstanding. Perhaps my profession as an artist helps alot in getting the right angle & the right timing of clicking the button of my camera. What I've realised from this experience is that, for this type of photography, you only got 3 seconds or less to decide on your shots. Opportunity will be lost if too much time being spent on it.
Well,it was quite fun to have a feel of a fashion photographer who takes pictures of beautiful models :))
